Army Health Clinic BG Crawford Sams Camp Zama
Access to Care is 24/7. Our clinic is not open 24/7, but our triage line is available. When you call DSN 263-4127 (Within Japan: 046-407-4127), our staff will notify a provider who will call you back. The provider will advise you if you can wait until the clinic opens, or if you need to seek medical care at either Naval Hospital Yokosuka, Yokota Air Base Hospital, or at a Japanese clinic or hospital.
911" is the emergency number which activates the military police, ambulance, EMTs (emergency medical teams), and translators. Of course, if you have a life threatening medical emergency such as chest pain, difficulty breathing or trauma, call "911" on post or "119" off post. If you are feeling sick, or have an injury that does not meet the criteria for losing life, limb or eyesight, please call the clinic first at DSN 263-4127 (Within Japan: 046-407-4127) and push option 1 for a triage nurse or 24/7 medical advice. Our on call provider will advise you what options are available, or if you need to seek medical care at either Naval Hospital Yokosuka, Yokota Air Base hospital, or a Japanese clinic or hospital, in which case we would arrange for a translator to assist you.
Japanese clinics and hospitals do not operate in the same manner that they do in the U.S. Local hospitals do not have to see you when come to their emergency room. That is why we want you to call us first. If our provider thinks that this is a medical emergency, that provider will engage our EMS (emergency medical service) staff including a translator. Please carry an emergency wallet card which has information on who to call for medical assistance. These cards are available at the clinic and are handed out at various community events.
What to do if you think you have a recalled product in your home:

Return the product to the point of purchase (Exchange or Commissary).
Consumers who have medical concerns or questions should contact MEDDAC-Japan.
