Automated Neuropsychological Assessment Metrics (ANAM)

A. The Automated Neuropsychological Assessment Metrics (ANAM) is a series of computer-based tests of cognitive domains including attention, concentration, reaction time, memory, processing speed, and decision-making.  The results of the ANAM provides healthcare staff with data to evaluate an individual's change in cognitive functioning over time.

A. The standard ANAM battery used by the U.S. Department of Defense takes approximately 20 minutes to administer.  Please allow 45 minutes to complete your appointment.

A. ANAM assessment results are considered protected health information and are placed in your electronic medical record.  The assessment results will be securely stored electronically in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974 and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996.

A.  All Services members are required to complete their pre-deployment ANAM within 12 months prior to deployment. This assessment is a mandatory requirement.

A. ANAM software provides an almost limitless number of alternative forms and combinations to facilitate repeated-measures testing.
